Your historical home is in expert hands with Renaissance.With the Monarch Elite Process, we give your restoration project the time and care it deserves. This seven-step transformation begins with scheduling an assessment and ends with your beautifully restored building. We will guide you through the process so that you know exactly what is happening and when.
SCHEDULING YOUR ASSESSMENT
Renaissance understands how important it is to have someone guiding you every step of the way. That’s why we assign a Client Success Agent (CSA) to your project from the onset. The CSA will be your liaison throughout the Monarch Elite Process to answer questions, keep you updated on progress, and deliver timely results.
Our initial assessment will take place 2-3 weeks before the physical visit. During this call, your CSA will ask you about the history of your structure, along with plans for the future. Based on this information, a Historical Building Specialist will then be assigned to your project and a date and time will be set to perform the on-site Magellan Building Assessment.
Duration: 2-3 weeks before Physical Assessment
PERFORMING YOUR ASSESSMENT
The Magellan Building Assessment is an exploratory tool to gather data, take pictures of the current condition of your structure’s interior and exterior, and chart the best course of action for your restoration project.
The assessment typically lasts 2-4 hours or more, depending on the size and complexity of your building. Upon completion, Renaissance will provide you with recommendations on how we can work together to address the your building’s unique needs.
Duration: 1-2 weeks
DEVELOPING THE PLAN
Once we have a plan of action, our team will source materials that match your historical building. We stock the nation’s largest inventory of historical clay tiles, slate, copper, and more, giving Renaissance customers an added time and cost savings.
Budget will be considered carefully, taking into account removal of damaged materials, providing replacement materials, time, and labor. We will provide a comprehensive plan and breakdown of costs within two weeks. Please note that if you have property insurance, it may take an extra 4-12 weeks to settle a new claim with your provider.

Your Historical Building Specialist will work with you to review our proposal, explain our recommendations, and finalize details. Together, we’ll develop a full timeline with a practical payment schedule.

PRE-FLIGHT BEGINS
For the next 2-8 weeks, our building experts will work behind the scenes to prepare for the launch of your project, ensuring that it will be completed on time and within budget.
During this phase, all materials essential to the project are ordered or custom-made. By the end, we’re prepared with the people and equipment needed to successfully restore your structure.
Duration: 2-8 weeks
PROGRESS TAKES WING
Historical restoration begins from the ground up. We take care to protect any surrounding plants, landscapes, and hardscapes from potential damage throughout the process.
During this phase, work begins. Equipment and materials are delivered to the worksite, along with a dedicated foreman to direct your project. We understand how important it is to stay in communication, so our foreman will stay in touch with you every step of the way throughout the next 10 weeks of work.
Duration: 2-10 weeks
YOUR RESTORED BUILDING EMERGES
During the final stage of our partnership, equipment is removed and the worksite is cleaned — here your meticulously restored building will finally emerge.
We will work together to review the project, ensuring that all items have been addressed, changes have been finalized, and that arrangements for the final payment have been made. You will also receive a written warranty in accordance with our agreement. And to keep your building at its best, our Customer Care Club offers you annual and semi-annual maintenance options.
As a last step, we will photograph your beautiful building. Renaissance is proud of the work we do and the relationships we form with our customers.
