Well…you know the old adage that “You get what you pay for?” - you get a first class finished product when you hire Renaissance. From the initial inspection and project report to the project manager, project boss and whole crew, this company is top notch. Communication is good, clear, objective.

Even when the PM came and broke the news that they had discovered additional issues and my project effectively doubled (yes, doubled) I knew that they were shooting me straight. Was it a small fortune to fix my roof - yes, definitely. Was it worth it: Absolutely.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the team at Renaissance to anyone with a historic home (and costly tile or slate roof and copper flashing and gutters); you won’t be disappointed.

We decided to hire Mosby Building Arts since we need additional work done along with the roof and fascia/crown molding. Nick at Renaissance was terrific, obviously very knowledgeable, and Cindy at their office could not have provided better customer service. I recall that some of you also needed the fascia/crown molding done along your rooflines and I recommend Renaissance as well as Mosby for their customer service.

Renaissance Roofing rebuilt our tile roof after we incurred a great deal of water damage to one of our bedrooms. As they worked, we always felt a part of the process, and our questions were answered in a way that we could understand. Emails were always returned promptly as well.

Our experience with Renaissance has been remarkable. We had an intricate repair job of a Mansard ‘Roof’ and siding five stories above the ground in a 60-year-old condo building not always constructed with the highest standards (we blame Mafia connections but of course have no evidence). The job was bid in detail and we thought we would be lucky if it got done to plans given the past history with work on this building. THEN CAME COVID- 19. Our Village added tight requirements and the ancients in our building (including me!) were very concerned that the requirements be enforced. The work date came. The work was done without ANY problem. It is hard to believe but it is true. Work was completed, the roof is beautiful, everybody is thrilled including me!

We were hit by a tornado in March. A massive tree fell and ripped off a corner of our 100 year old cement tile roof. I knew we needed someone special to fix it. We called Renaissance. They did amazing work. You can't tell that anything was repaired. They were professional, pleasant, punctual and amazing craftsmanship. I highly recommend them.

Renaissance Roofing Inc. came highly recommended by a historic architect here in Wisconsin. Our project is an almost one-hundred-year-old chapel/rest house at our local cemetery. It has suffered years of neglect through some very unfortunate circumstances which we as a board are now trying to rectify. Our first phase of this project was to secure the roof to buy us some time. Renaissance Roofing has taken care of that with such attention to detail and respect for the whole building. They have a reverence for history-you could almost hear those early builders saying-“these are the guys we’ve been waiting for”.

A terrible storm came through the Ottawa area in 2020 and did a fair amount of damage to our 116 year-old home. After more than two years of struggling with the insurance company about the extent of the damage, Renaissance’s Greg Derry expedited an assessment of the damage that helped us broker a settlement with the insurance company that included a complete roof replacement.

I will say from personal experience in the trades that the Renaissance technicians were more than tradespeople — they’re craftspeople. The copper work Ray and this team completed is just amazing. They are the kinds of folks the world needs to keep our beautiful architecture alive.
