Copper Stone Inn

The Copper Stone Inn is a bed and breakfast located at Orchard Ridge Farms in Rockton, Illinois that also includes a unique wedding venue (The Pavilion).

Renaissance was asked to replace all the integrated and decorative sheet metal components on the Inn with new copper to enhance the beauty of this quiet, rustic property.

Work Included

Renaissance was asked to duplicate and replicate all the existing decorative cornice, frieze and entablature trims and details with new copper, including the following items -

  • Fabricate and Install New Custom Copper Gutters, Downspouts, and Collector Boxes
  • Fabricate and Install New Copper Fascia and Frieze
  • Fabricate and Install New Copper Valleys
  • Fabricate and Install New Copper Wall and Chimney Flashings
  • Fabricate and Install New Copper Dormers
  • Fabricate and Install New Copper Eave & Gable Entablatures
  • Fabricate and Install New Copper Standing Seam Roofs
  • Fabricate and Install New fully soldered Copper Flat Interlocking Roof Panels

THE CHALLENGE

Working at a busy bed & breakfast/wedding venue required close scheduling between the client and Renaissance's internal copper studio and production teams for the removal, fabrication, and reinstallation of the new copper elements

It was imperative the property remain fully open and operating and the project site was kept safe and clean at all times.

 

      

THE RENAISSANCE SOLUTION

Renaissance is a nationally recognized leader in historic exterior restoration of private homes and this local project was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our ability in replicating the various copper elements on this former private home.

All copper elements were replicated in our in-house copper studio by our experienced team of coppersmiths and artists; and installed by our skilled installation team.

THE RESULTS

The final results are eye catching and definitely have brought the property back to its original beauty, ready to serve clients for years to come.
